Why ?

Upon reentering society, former offenders are likely to struggle with substance abuse, lack of adequate education and job skills, limited housing options, and mental health issues. National statistics show that 43% of all inmates return to prison within three years of their release (Pew, 2011).

Returning to the community from jail or prison is a complex transition for most individuals, as well as for their families and communities.

Our goal is to assist the returning  population in our community transition successfully by understanding the importance of building a stronger, healthier, more vibrant community that takes into consideration the talents and contributions of all its members including those returning from incarceration.
